The Historical Archive safeguards the documentary memory of the Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas -- since its founding in 1936 --, as a key institution in the field of Art History in Mexico. The documents archive has been classified according to two criteria: documents donated by researchers and well known academics; and those that have been generated in the daily labor at the Institute and that, due to their age and importance, have a remarkable historical value.
Currently documents are being organized, catalogued and digitized in the web site artdossier, which already hosts the Beatriz de la Fuente and Salvador Moreno Manzano funds.
